Charlotte is in North Carolina, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. Getting around Charlotte is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Just had the worst customer service experience on 5/15/26. I placed an order online through the business’s website and was redirected to DoorDash-its preferred ordering service. I placed my order for over $80 including tip and arrived at the restaurant to pick up my food, I also wanted to add a side of fries and decided to wait since the price of fries increased by double after it was added to my cart. As I was waiting to order my fries I noticed that the menu prices were SIGNIFICANTLY lower than the prices on DoorDash. I initially complained to a cashier who was equally as rude and unhelpful-saying that DD adds a 30% markup to menu items (news to me since I rarely use the service) and they suggest calling in or ordering in person-none of which was listed on the business’s website. The “manager” Mat (with one T as he so sarcastically emphasized) then walked up, without identifying himself. I also brought the issue to his attention, and his condescending, disrespectful response was he could just cancel my order-which I discovered after calling DD from the parking lot was a lie. Then even had the audacity to ask if I wanted to reorder?!?. NOT! 🤣🤣🤣 I’m HUGE on customer service, so I w

My cashier Sibyl was very nice and welcoming, referring to me by name the entire visit. I ordered a mixed shrimp and oyster poboy that was delicious. Really no complaints at all. The interior was nicely decorated, and their prices are very affordable! Will definitely be coming back often!

My perch po boy was very solid. The bread was very soft. I appreciate them using dark greens for the lettuce and the po boy sauce was on point! Will come back next time I'm on that side of town.

If you’re looking for authentic Lowcountry flavor in Charlotte, Poboy Lowcountry Seafood is a must-visit. Poboy hit the spot. I had the fried croaker and shrimp with sides of dirty rice and fried okra. The Cajun seasoning was spot on, and the kitchen knows exactly what they’re doing—everything was perfectly cooked, not under or over. The shrimp and croaker had that perfect crunch. A quick heads-up: If you aren't a fish expert, which I am not, be aware that the croaker is served whole (not filleted) and has many small bones. My only small critique is that I’d love the dirty rice to be a bit "dirtier" (more beef/meat), but everything else was excellent. The sides are enough for two people to share. It’s not the cheapest spot in town, but for the quality, it’s well worth the treat. Plus, the service was great—I was greeted immediately, and my food was actually ready earlier than expected! As for the atmosphere, it is definitely more a take your food and go. The vibes do not give sit down, eat and enjoy your meal.
